The Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park is located in the south of the province, 70 km. from Cordoba, and in its term there are important towns, such as Luque, Zuheros, Priego or Rute. The limestone rock allows the development of rugged reliefs and karstic formations, such as lapiaces, sinkholes or poljes, of geomorphological interest.
The vegetation is dominated by holm oaks, on the sunny slopes, while those facing north are dominated by gall oaks. The Cueva de los Murciélagos, a short distance from the pretty town of Zuheros and its castle, offers enormous speleological and archaeological attractions; It can be visited in guided groups.
Access from Cordoba is via the N-432 road.
