The Pepe Espaliú Art Centre is located in a recently-restored C. 18th house with a courtyard which houses a permanent exhibition of nearly 40 works by this Cordoban artist, offering us a valuable insight into the artist and his career.
Pepe Espaliú is one of the leading personalities of the second generation of 1980s Spanish artists. He was born in Cordoba in 1955, and died here in 1993 of AIDS, a disease that mainly inspired his later works. He was a man of many talents, producing sculpture, painting, poetry and public performances.
