Museo de Julio Romero de Torres
|
This museum, housed in the same building as the Fine Arts Museum, in front of the Posada del Potro, was created in 1931, one year after the painter’s Julio Romero de Torres death.
The museum takes us on an illustrated tour of his life and works, from his early beginnings to his best-known and most impressive paintings, such as La Chiquita Piconera (the Little Coal Girl), Naranjas y Limones (Oranges and Lemons), Cante Hondo (Flamenco Song), or Poema a Córdoba (Poem to Cordoba). The museum has been rebuilt three times, the last time being in 2012.
