Restaurante Patio Romano
The Patio Romano restaurant is doubly worth a visit - it is a feast both for the eye and for the palate. Nestled in the whitewashed streets of the Jewish Quarter, only a few metres from the Mosque-Cathedral, it offers the best of Cordoban cuisine right in the historic city centre.
Ham is the star attraction, as this pleasant Cordoban restaurant is one of the best places in town to savour all the Iberian ham products from the Designation of Origin of the Pedroches Valley. There is also a wide range of meat dishes, including “presa” pork fillet, “carrillada” stewed cheek fillet, sirloin of beef or oxtail croquettes as well as delicious dishes such as “cantillana” artichoke hearts with Iberian ham. These are only a few of the traditional flavours to sample, and all go down wonderfully with one of our fine wines. The blending of Cordoban cuisine with modern tendencies is also seen in other dishes, such as the Mazamorra (almond and garlic dip) with gelée of PX wine.
