Hotel Los Omeyas
This hospitable, family-run hotel stands out mainly for its location: it is situated in the heart of the Jewish Quarter only 20 metres from the Mosque-Cathedral. From Hotel Los Omeyas you can enjoy Cordoba’s artistic, monumental and cultural heriatge, as it is well situated to visit other tourist attractions such as the Castle of the Christian Monarchs, the Calahorra Tower, the Synagogue, the Roman Bridge and so on.
The hotel takes its name from the Umayyad dynasty (“Los Omeyas” in Spanish), an Arab lineage who held power as Caliphs first in the East, with their capital in Damascus, and later in Al-andalus, where Cordoba was chosen as the capital.
The hotel is built in white marble and decorated with Arabic motifs, thus respecting the traditional architectural style of ancient Cordoba.
