El Barón
In the quiet, secluded Plaza de Abades, in the heart of the Jewish Quarter and a stone’s throw from the Mosque-Cathedral, lies Taberna El Baron, where locals and groups of friends meet up to enjoy the friendly atmosphere, plus a wide variety of wines ranging from local “fino” wines to excellent reds from all over Spain.
To tempt the palate there is a small but select list of “tapas”, which includes homemade pate, pork loin in butter and sheep’s cheese. You can also enjoy the sunny days and cool nights sitting out on the terrace, chatting to friends, reading a book (which you can choose from the small library) or plugged in to our own WiFi connection. And don’t miss the excellent vermouth.
