Casa Salinas
Open since 1966, and currently managed by Manuel Pérez Romera who is also the manager of the Cuevas Romanas restaurant, Casa Salinas is a traditional tavern known for its great location and exquisite cuisine.
It is located within the Puerta de Almodóvar in the very heart of Cordoba’s Jewish quarter which is a World Heritage Site.
Taberna Casa Salinas is the habitual meeting place for many locals and the delight of those visiting the city. It is also known for the flamenco recitals held here where numerous figures from the flamenco world have demonstrated their art.
The “El Salinero” hall continues to gather groups of locals who maintain the tradition of drinking glasses or medios of Montilla-Moriles wine while chatting about the divine and humane.
The “Casa Salinas” kitchen produces numerous culinary specialties which are innovative, yet respectful of the traditional cuisine. Of course, all of the dishes are made with extra virgin olive oil. The great variety of tapas is an identity mark, especially the fresh anchovies in vinegar, salmorejo cordobés, flamenquín breaded ham rolls, meatballs and codfish croquettes.
