Fuente de la Plaza del Vizconde de Miranda
|
It is the popular belief that this fountain stood originally in the plaza de la Corredera, until they moved it (because it got in the way of bullfights) to the door of the Palace of the Vizconde de Miranda, where it stands today. It is likely to have been built in the 17th century. Rectangular, with two solid pillars on the lower sides, the fountain is topped by pyramid-shaped pinnacles, which hold the spouts which shoot out water into this oasis-like fountain.
