Fuente de la Piedra Escrita
|
This fountain is very well-known in Cordoba, for its unique position between the districts of San Lorenzo and San Agustín, on the corner of calle Moriscos with calle Cárcamo. The famous piedra escrita (written stone) which gives it its name refers to a Roman inscription found on the site while it was being built. It is in Baroque style, with two lions sculpted in relief, one on either side, and a coat of arms above them.
