Iglesia de San Miguel
|
Standing right in the city centre, not far from calle Cruz Conde, the church of San Miguel is a Medieval Gothic building with Baroque additions. Above the main entrance there is a splendid rose window with small interlacing columns. The inside, divided by pillars into three naves, has a presbytery at one end, which is decorated with an 18th century marble altarpiece. A range of different paintings and Baroque sculptures rub shoulders with 19th century works. Another interesting feature is the baptismal chapel covered by a delightful Mudejar cupola.
