Iglesia de la Magdalena
|
Near the district of San Lorenzo stands a building of exceptional historical interest, the Church of la Magdalena, one of the first churches to be built in the city and a model for subsequent parish churches in Cordoba. Its style is a mixture of Romanesque, Gothic and Mudejar. The main entrance is at the end of the church with an attractive rose window above it. The right hand entrance, decorated with diamond-shaped points, is the more attractive of the two side doors, and is the oldest doorway of all the churches of Cordoba. The 17th century tower is made up of several sections, which taper up to the top.
