The Museum of Alchemy is a window onto a world of mystery and fascination. Alchemy, the ancient art of transforming matter, is also an art of spiritual transformation. Located in the heart of the Jewish quarter, in a fully renovated 13th century house, this museum displays a range of objects such as alchemy stones, elixirs, medicines and mortars, as well as explanatory videos and a reconstruction of an ancient wheel showing the signs of the zodiac.
On the upper floor, there is an alchemy laboratory, alembics (alchemic stills), a lapidary and even a small observatory. The visit is accompanied by an audio-guide, which provides the perfect introduction to the secrets of alchemy.
